Prototype railways and Preservation groups:

Victorian Goldfields Railway: http://www.vgr.com.au

This railway operates steam services between Maldon and Castlemaine every Sunday and Wednesday. Currently steam loco K160 is availible for service while on days of Total Fire Ban Rail Motor 61RM or hired diesel Y127 is substituted.

Seymour Railway Heritage Centre Inc.: http://www.srhc.org.au

This group maintains several steam and diesel locomotives from Victoria and interstate. Steam loco J515 is available for service along with diesels B74, T320, T357, T378 and GM36. The group also maintains several "E" type pass cars plus a few from the former "Spirit of Progress".

Steamrail Victoria Inc.:  http://www.bergshobbies.com/

Operates both steam and heritage diesels on the mainline system. Several tours are run each year, and trains are available for charter.

Daylesford Spa Country Railway:  http://www.bergshobbies.com/

Operates heritage railmotors between Daylesford and Bullarto on Sundays. Services are currently operated by 280HP Walker 91RM and 600HP Tulloch DRC40.
